NEW BEDFORD, MA - On Saturday, May 5, 2007 at approximately 12:15am a 911 call was received in our communication center in regards to a large fight in the area of 31 Ashley St. As the units were responding information was being received that several individuals had been stabbed.

The New Keith is the very definition of Governmental Corruption

NEW BEDFORD, MA - Hollywood convinced us that governmental corruption takes place in smoke filled back rooms. This is not the case. Smoking indoors is illegal now. However, politicians do talk and occasionally do agree to support one side of an issue or an other. This is called a “chance meeting” and is the basis of much governmental improprieties. The trouble is trying to prove that such a meeting took place to the satisfaction of the law and an overworked judge. The “special favor” has been involved in politics since humans bartered quahog shells and tanned hides. Unfettered leadership, whether in the hands of a king or in the hands of less honorable government bodies or greedy corporate CEO's has been a plague that has haunted humanity for far too long. In defense of these unscrupulous people though, their power lay less in the sword and more in the quiet ignorance of the people they think they rule. Write Comment (1 Comments)

Irish Group Craobh Rua in Music Through Time Concert

Whaling Museum to host Irish Music Group NEW BEDFORD, MA - Craobh Rua (pronounced Crave Roo-Ah) from Northern Ireland presents their Irish jigs, reels, airs and graces on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 8:00 pm as part of the Music Through Time Concerts. Lees Market of Westport is the title sponsor of this popular concert series. The concert will be presented in the theater of the New Bedford Whaling Museum, 18 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, MA, considered one of the finest performance venues on the South Coast. Tickets are $13 for Museum members/ $18 for all others.
