Lieutenant Governor Murray says interagency initiative can help communities clean up and redevelop contaminated properties

BOSTON  – Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray announced today a new initiative to help communities clean up contaminated sites and prepare them for redevelopment. New Brownfields Support Teams made up of staff from multiple state agencies will target sites that have yet to be developed since the Brownfields Act was passed in 1998, the Lieutenant Governor said.

BOSTON – Thursday, April 24, 2008 – Surrounded by young people at the Tobin Community Center in Roxbury, Governor Patrick today signed an executive order to establish a Statewide Youth Council as part of his administration’s effort to engage and involve citizens of all ages and create opportunities for residents across the Commonwealth.

Grant part of Governor’s economic plan to fast track investments for Massachusetts workers and infrastructure projects

BOSTON—Wednesday, April 23, 2008---Continuing to make economic development investments in cities and towns across the Commonwealth, Governor Deval Patrick today announced that the Workers’ Credit Union in Fitchburg will receive $76,665 in Workforce Training Grant funding that will help train 151 employees.
